The well that moved the market
When a borehole arrived in Lodwar's outer quarter, the vegetable traders moved with it. Amina Akiru explains what changed and what got harder.
Boreholes, solar pumping and trained water committees across Turkana County.
Water points fail when pumps break and nobody owns the repairs, so this program pays for what lasts: solar hardware, a committee in every community, and a fund.
Every water point is mapped and inspected twice a year by an independent county technician. A broken pump gets a repair within two weeks.
Latest reported values against this year's targets. A value below target stays visible — it is never rounded up or hidden.
