Every dollar, published where you can argue with it

Allocation, revenue and reserves come from the same dataset the auditors sign off each April. 80% of 2025 spending went to programs; the rest ran them.

Operations covers the people who keep programs honest — finance, monitoring and the audit itself. Fundraising pays for the monthly donor program; its share is reviewed quarterly and has never exceeded eleven percent.

Audit and controls

The audit, named

Auditor

Hartwell & Rowe LLP. Unmodified opinion, financial statements prepared under U.S. GAAP. Audited statements are published with the annual report each April.

Reserves policy

Target: six weeks of operating cost. At 2025 close the reserve stood at $280,000 — about three weeks — and the board has made rebuilding it the first claim on 2026 surplus.

Where the money goes first

Restricted gifts are spent on the restriction, in the year given, or returned. Unrestricted gifts follow the published allocation: programs first, then operations, then fundraising.

Procurement

Every purchase above $10,000 needs three written quotes. Vendors are checked against public sanctions lists, and all contracts are signed by two officers.

Whistleblowing

Staff, partners and community members can report concerns to an independent channel run by Hartwell & Rowe, outside the management line. Reports are answered within ten working days.

Transparency is cheaper than trust exercises

If a figure here raises a question, ask it — the contact page reaches a person, not a form queue.
