The newest water program is now contracted: ninety boreholes at schools and rural health posts in Zambia's North-Western Province, selected together with the provincial water utility from a shared map of dry communities.
Drilling begins in March 2026 and the first phase covers 3,200 households. Maintenance responsibility is settled before the first rig arrives, which is the lesson this organization failed to learn on its very first program in 2011 and has not repeated since.
As with every program here, the Planning page shows commitments, not results. Quarterly drilling progress — including delayed sites — will be published on the program page from the second quarter.
